We leave for a long weekend. . .

So, Chris had to go down to Charleston, SC for a work meeting.  Larisa and the boys followed a couple days later and we stayed with our friend Laura and Bill Kracker and caught up with old friends (thanks for the pizza Jen!).  I guess the carpenters figured this was the best time to get going on the house!  Floor decking was installed in a day!  But the house was still 4 feet too low.  Unfortunately, we missed much of the real action, so we can only imagine the well timed lifting, framing and raising walls and then lowering the house onto the new first story. And you better believe that the view of Calico Bay got even better!  (Yes, Chris climbed up the cribs and beams to check it out)
